Time to remind everyone coming to Italy and Tuscany this year to make note that all the first Sundays of the month (#DomenicalMuseo) mean FREE ENTRANCE to all State Museums across all of Italy!
Here’s a list of State sites in Tuscany I’ve compiled so you can just check ones in the region. If you want to see the full list of State museums across all of Italy, check this link out.
The Sunday dates for 2018 are:
January 7
February 4
March 4
April 1 (this is Easter Sunday!)
May 6
June 3
July 1
August 5
September 2
October 7
November 4
December 2
Make a note that the most popular museums will be extremely crowded on these free entrance days, for example, at the Uffizi and Accademia in Florence. If you can visit the day before or the Tuesday after, I would recommend you do so. You’ll enjoy your visit a bit more if you don’t feel the museum is full to capacity.
