From November 6th to 22nd, Florence will host the 2nd edition of the successful Food and Wine Biennial. The festival will include lots of events related to tasting typical and traditional flavors of Florence and its surroundings. There will be thematic itineraries, special dinners and parties, food and wine tastings, food markets and much, much more.
Among the most interesting events there will be one called “Sweet Temptations” on Sunday November 7th in the former Leopoldine Cloister. The event will include wine tastings of vinsanto, a sweet dessert wine, together with typical sweet cakes and cookies. The cost is € 7,00 per person including tastings and personal goblet.
Between Saturday and Sunday November 13th and 14th the wine cellars producing Chianti Colli Fiorentini will offer free wine tastings, as well as “olio novo”, new olive oil, and other typical products tastings.
Another interesting event which will take place on all days of the festival is the initiative called “A traditional dish at the restaurant”. In over 90 participating restaurants, you will have the opportunity to taste some of the most traditional Florentine dishes. All dishes will be cooked following original recipes that have made Florentine cuisine famous all over the world.
These are, of course, only just a few of the events taking place during this great foodie festival taking place across all of Florence.
